trip to vivocity + new use for children
yesterday afternoon, when class ended, i met wif my sec sch frenz to get down to vivocity for a initial review (or, first time there). well, frankly, the structure covering the thing is not very spectacular, altho the rooftop walkway wif water by the two sides is quite cool.
wif a psi well over 100, u'll think u r on a hilltop like genting. went to the roof, saw the sea and blah blah... actually after a while vivo seems like juz another shopping center like suntec, and its not fully leased yet. so you have stores that hav yet to open, but those that already arh are quite good; u can find quite a lot of things there, such as a supermarket, clothes, entertainment and dining...
talking abt dining. we went to 3rd floor, food republic. the theme was such that it reminds ppl of probably singapore in the 1930s, wif roadside stalls and a rickshaw in the middle of the whole place. wa lau that one take up so much space. as today is a public hol so yest quite pack, so pack until when we got a table the table had to be cleaned... by us.
we ate and ate... then my fren was abt to finish his stuff when a small boy abt 8 - 9 years old came to our table and asked: "Gor Gor (big brother), ni men chi hao le mei you (hv u finished eating)?"
wa lau! which parent come up wif this strategy arh? so we reply soon. then the boy went back to his mom, most prob to say they all finishing soon. then i dunno wat the mom said but the boy came back and asked the same question again! so how to reply? u noe the awkward feeling when a small kid comes up to u and ask u to help? then u cannot reject also!
so we said ok we finish already. then i discussed wif my fren: wat a good tactic. i muz use that next time when i'm in a crowded food court wif my kids and i use them to get table. superb leh! smart mom. ok lor, u win hands down.
however when we went to the toilet it looks like a freaking kopitiam style toilet! wet wif urine all ard and the place damn dirty. summore the tap is sensor one so u muz put both hand there to get the water running. wa lau! i told my fren: when nxt time u become engineer dun design such lousy products!!
after the whole thing was some drinks at alexandra hawker... my frenz took avocado wif milk supposedly nice but i didnt try.
anyway, since vivocity is near my house, i guess will b gg there often to do shopping. better than tiong bahru plaza oozing wif sec sch kids from the nearby area. run ard and make so much noise! young punks...
