i am one with the nite.
i juz got back home frm doing fyp in sch till quite late. late as in 11pm plus... lucky we went off on time to catch the last bus ( i think).
there's one last train at boon lay but i didnt tk. i took 30 to a few stops b4 harborfront... i rem there's a petrol kiosk there, and so there shld b food. my lunch was at 4... my dinner was bought from the 7-11 at the kiosk, juz a choc cream bread and 1 bottle of mango tea.
since there's no bus (actualli there was but i was too lazy to run after it since i'm carrying a bag and eating) i walked home. took me a gd half hr b4 i got home... along the way, i tried to keep steady my pace since i wanted to go back soon. not to mention a bit tired, a bit sleepy... but some interesting sights abound.
at tis time no one is on the streets anymore. so i began to sing as i was walking back home... juz keeps the sleepiness and hunger away. song aft song, my faves all of them, played:
s.h.e - BOOM
s.h.e - superstar
butters' audition - little bunny foo foo
s.h.e - ring ring ring
etc...
the nite breeze is juz so cool... and as i was walking home, i was reminded of the days when i was serving ns. i was walking on route marches late at nite, singing songs to boost morale and occassionally chatting with my course mates to keep the boredom away. now i walk again, albeit with a lighter load and a much lighter heart.
i saw construction that goes on at nite, to keep the roads ready for cars to travel on tml...
i saw ppl working late in coffeeshops to keep hungry stomachs full...
i saw empty cabs trying to get customers on a monday nite / tue morn where ppl wld be sleeping to recover frm the wkend...
i saw...
i think i shld slp soon. juz wanna post an entry to sae how i love the occasional nite walk.
